About

The Platform for Social Innovations and Social Enterprises is a joint venture of Social Impact gGmbH, the Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany (SEND) e.V. and the Technical University of Dortmund. As the first contact point for social innovations, the platform provides information, practical tips, support and networking opportunities for social innovators, funding and financial partners as well as for universities, research and transfer projects from science to practice. The platform aims to inspire, inform, empower and network to find new solutions for the challenges of our time.

Social innovators: We want to encourage social innovators to realize their ideas and be inspired by projects that have already been implemented. We highlight the potential of social innovation and provide an overview of events, support services and practical tools.

Funding and financial partners: We want to motivate and help funding and financial partners to adapt their projects and services to the needs of all those who want to develop and implement social innovations.

Higher education, research and transfer: We want to bring stakeholders in academia into contact, provide information on the current state of social innovation and facilitate discussions on key research topics.

Today we are facing major ecological and social changes and crises. We have a responsibility to overcome these challenges and create a planet worth living on for all people and living beings.

To do so, it is time to think ahead, support real transformation and actively promote a change in values – for our society and the environment. Social innovations – small and large – are essential for this. That’s why we want to be a source of information for all stakeholders and sparring partners involved in bringing innovative ideas, projects, companies and goals to life. For a better now.
